Changelog
Everything that changes on the site is listed here, with its date. It is how you know someone is still working on this, and not just leaving a page online.
The home page remembers your previous analyses
- Below the "Analyze stash" button there is now a "Previous analyses" list: every analysis made in this browser, with world, date and time, item count and total, and one click reopens it. The list lives in your browser, and only there: there are no accounts, and one computer does not see the analyses of another. Each analysis can be reopened for 30 days, the same period the server keeps it; after that it leaves the list on its own. You can remove one line, or clear everything.
- When you reopen an analysis, the items you marked as yours and the corrections you made come back with it. Before, both were lost when the tab closed.
The home page shows the results screen next to the tool, and the indexes moved to the footer
- The bottom of the home page changed. In place of the stash screenshot with its table and the three index columns came "What the result looks like": four screenshots of the results screen of my 812-item stash, one per view mode (no filter, grouped by action; NPC sale only, grouped by NPC; Market sale only, by highest value; Sellable only, grouped by action), each with a caption. Swipe on touch, or use Previous and Next.
- In the afternoon the carousel moved up: on a desktop it now sits right below the 'Analyze stash' button, next to the screenshot tutorial, instead of at the end of the page. Each caption now states the total of that screen and what to do with it (the NPC one, for instance: pack each buyer's backpack and sell, with no risk of handing over what is for an imbuement, a quest or a weekly task), and ends in 'view at full size', which opens the whole screenshot in a new tab.
- The home page subtitle no longer mentions "badges" and explains what the action is: sell to an NPC, sell on the market, or keep it because it is still good for an imbuement, a quest, a mount, an outfit addon or a weekly task. The "Made by" signature left the home page; the About page is still signed.
- The "Useful lists" and "Guides" columns left the home page and moved to the footer, which is on every page of the site, including the results page.
- The categories column left the home page and became a page of its own, the category index, with all 69 in alphabetical order and how many priced items each one has. It is in the footer of every page and at the top of every category.
Three shortcuts for selling without thinking, and the list in blocks by action or by NPC
- Three buttons now sit above the item list: "NPC sale only", "Market sale only" and "Sellable only". Each leaves on the list only what sells with no strings attached: no deliverables, no imbuements, and nothing carrying a mount, quest or addon badge. The first is for raising cash from what hunts and bosses leave behind; the last, for emptying the stash.
- Each button shows how many items would remain, and explains its rule in a balloon on hover or keyboard focus. With the filter on, the same explanation is written below the buttons. The NPC and category filters and the name search still combine with it.
- A new selector next to "Sort", "Group by", splits the list into collapsible blocks, each with a count and a total. By action, one block per suggested action, for sorting into backpacks what goes to the NPC, to the market and to imbuement. By NPC, one block per buyer, with what it pays for the backpack: each item goes to the NPC that pays the most for it, and what no NPC buys closes the list in a block of its own. With an NPC filtered in the sidebar, only that NPC's block remains. The choice is kept in the browser, so the next analysis opens the same way.
- Every block header gained a chevron that says it collapses: pointing down when open, right when collapsed.
- The guided tour gained two steps, one on the shortcuts and one on the blocks, going from seven to nine.
How many of each an outfit asks for
- The Addons badge now shows how many units the outfit requires, whenever the wiki publishes that number: "Citizen: 100" on chicken feather, "Beggar: 50" on minotaur leather. That covers 77 of the 163 pairs.
- The rest still show the outfit name alone, and that is deliberate. Three cases produce it: the wiki publishes no count at all; the item is an alternative to another one on the same line ("machete or heavy machete"), where the number applies to the choice and not to each item; or two pieces of the same outfit ask for different amounts, like magic sulphur, 15 for the female tiara and 10 for the male wand. Showing no number beats showing one that would be wrong for half the players.
A new badge marks what unlocks an outfit
- The items required by the 56 outfit quests in the game now have a badge of their own, "Addons". That is 108 items, and the badge covers both what unlocks the outfit itself and what unlocks one of its addons. Like the other badges it travels alongside the item action instead of replacing it, and the sidebar can filter by it.
- Those items left the "Quests" badge, which dropped from 255 to 166 items and went back to marking ordinary quests only. An item that belongs to both (the dragon shield comes from the Hunter Outfits Quest and from the Obsidian Knife Quest) still shows both badges, each with its own quests.
- Every outfit on the item card is a link to its wiki page, and the count joined the totals row at the top, next to Mount and Quests.
- A new list, "Outfit addon items", joined the list index, with what each one is worth.
A guided tour introduces the results screen
- On your first analysis, a seven-step tour walks through the screen and explains what each part shows: what the stash is worth, where that value comes from, what still needs you, how to find one specific item, and what a row of the list says. It can be skipped at any point.
- After that it never opens on its own again. The "Guided tour" button at the top of the analysis reopens it whenever you want.
- The tour explanations are the same ones behind the (?) next to each label: the same text, not two versions that would one day say different things.
The trophy on the wall is now recognised
- Trophies, tapestries, garlands, paintings and wallpaper, 98 items in all, were never recognised, and all of them landed in Manual check. The tool was comparing them against the wrong picture: the game draws these on a square of twice the side, and what was stored was a half-scale copy shoved into the corner. An ordinary item has 80 to 291 points of drawing in the compared area; the cyclops trophy had zero.
- I worked out how the game actually fits these items into the stash square: it centres the drawing rather than cropping it, and extraction now follows that. On a test stash page, five trophies and a tapestry left Manual check and were identified by name, matching pixel for pixel.
- Eleven similar items (the ones the game draws on a rectangle instead of a square) are still out: I do not yet have a capture that proves how those are fitted, and I would rather leave them unanswered than risk a wrong answer.
- The guesses offered for an unidentified item are no longer always the same four names. The comparison scored the match as a percentage without looking at how many points it was based on: an item whose art sits almost entirely behind the quantity counter offered 4 points, matched all 4, and scored 100% against any dark square. A drawing now needs a minimum of comparable points to be offered as a guess. On a test stash it headed 7 of the 12 lists, and now appears in none.
A screen that explains itself, and the items Tibia draws alike
- Every label in the top panel and in the price columns got a "?" that opens what that number actually means. The first one exists because of a common misreading: "Market Sell" is what sellers ASK, not what you receive.
- The counts at the top (items, deliverables, imbuement, mounts and quests) left the fine print at the bottom and got an icon and a readable size. Every concept in the panel now has a drawing of its own.
- The list got a name search, right in the item column: you can find "trophy" in a 220-slot stash without scrolling the whole page.
- Clicking the Item or Action header sorts the list, and clicking again reverses it. A third click restores stash order, which is the one that matches where the piece sits inside the game.
- The four pending blocks now live inside a box called "Manual check", with the overall count. They are not errors: they are the decisions left for you.
- A new page listing the items that share the very same picture. I compared every sprite the client uses, one against the other. Some pairs are expensive to mix up: morshabaal's brain and orshabaal's brain are the same drawing, and the price differs by 417 times.
- When the tool offers two candidates for one slot, there is now a link explaining why it cannot decide on its own: the sprite is usually identical, not merely similar.
- The screenshot tutorial gained the step it was missing: with "Only Capture Game Window" ticked, the client saves the map alone and the Stash window never makes it into the image. The screenshot looked right in the folder, and the analysis kept answering that it could not find the stash.
A face of its own, and an author
- The site got a visual identity of its own: a mark drawn from the stash grid, replacing the emoji, and a leather colour base instead of the generic grey.
- Cards and slots took on the relief of the in-game stash window: raised panel on the outside, sunken slot within, just like the client.
- Numbers stopped jittering between rows: gold columns now use fixed-width figures.
- The About page is signed. TibiaStash is run by one person, and it now says "I" instead of "we".
- The browser tab got an icon: the site used to show up as a blank square among your other tabs.
- This changelog page came into existence.
- A new "How it works" page, explaining what the tool does under the hood, what it never touches, and where AI comes in.
- Links to the site shared on Reddit, Discord or WhatsApp now carry an image. They used to come out as a strip of grey text.
- The Terms of Use were corrected: this site is not part of CipSoft's fansite programme, and they now say so.
- The Privacy Policy now identifies who is responsible for your data, by name and contact, and explains on what basis it is handled and whom you can complain to.
- The Privacy Policy gained a section on aggregate statistics: I now count, per world and per item, what shows up in the stashes analysed, with nothing tying the counter back to your analysis or to you.
